As we explore this sermon on what the kingdom of God represents, let us embark on a spiritual journey to understand the essence of the Kingdom of God, its principles, its transformative power, and its implications for our lives.

In doing so, we aim not only to gain knowledge but to experience a deeper connection with the One who established this kingdom, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sermon On What The Kingdom Of God Represents

The Beauty Of Creation

Looking at creation, the birds in the sky, the fishes in the rivers and other water bodies, the sun in the sky, the moon giving its light at night, man understands there is a creator.
But how come sorrows, pains, and affliction. How can we access the creator?  Jesus coming to the world gives us the answer.
Man through this free will opted to listen to different voices outside God, and severe consequences took place. That is the separation from God and gradual decay of his physical body. However, his humanity was not destroyed completely but he lost the ability to reflect God’s holiness.
Though man still possesses a heart, a will and a mind. This new relationship created hardship, sorrow, pains, agony, lack of peace, lack of internal joy, and death and man earnestly groan for a restored fellowship with God so he might fulfill all  that God intended for him ( Genesis 1:26).
We were lost (Luke 19:10) “ For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which is lost”, condemned ( John 3: 18 ) “ He that believed on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God”

Redemption:

The kingdom of God represents Redemption. God’s plan for redemption has always been present throughout the Scripture.
God clothed Adam and Eve with the skin of slain animals, this began the redemption program through blood ( Genesis 3:21;  Genesis 8: 20; Genesis 22:1-13; Exodus 24:5)
God promised that mankind would be redeemed by a savior, a seed of a woman ( Genesis 3:14-15) Every dramatic action of the sacrificial system carried some message and looked forward to that final, once and for all sacrifice of the perfect Lamb that God would offer one day.
He came in a human body to offer Himself a sacrifice for all time (Hebrews 10:5) “ Wherefore when he cometh into the world he saith, sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body thou prepared me:”
Those of animals instituted in the Old Testament were only temporary. (Hebrews 10:1-4) “ For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comes thereunto perfect.

Salvation

English Dictionary defines “Salvation” as the redemption of man from the bondage of sin and liability to eternal death, and conferring on him of eternal happiness, a state of being saved or preserved from harm, to be rescued from some calamity, set free from something negative or bad.
However, the Bible uses the term “Salvation, Redemption, Reconciliation, Restoration” interchangeably and refers to our ultimate redemption from sin and reconciliation with God.
For God to be true to His word- He reconciled man to Himself. Through Jesus Christ we are rescued from ultimate calamity- The judgment of God (Colossians 1:19-20).  Biblically, Salvation means a person and also a solution.
Jesus becomes our” sacrifice of atonement through faith in His blood”.
This he did to demonstrate His justice and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus ( Romans 3:25-26) “ Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood to declare His righteousness for the remission of past sins,
Though we are still sinful, but God declared us righteous, because of what Jesus did. Ideas and fact don’t save man, and neither does agreeing with ideas or believing fact ( James 2:19) “ Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble” demons also have the fact straight.
We are now adopted into a new family, a family of kings and priest ( Revelation 1:6; 5:10), and we now become members of  a Royal Priesthood ( 1Peter 2: 9) “ But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him  who hath called you out of darkness into  His marvelous light”
For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the mighty things” (1 Corinthians 1:21; Colossians 2:10: 13-15)

A Comforting Truth:

The kingdom of God is a comforting truth to those who trust in Him, and also a strict warning to those building their kingdom with pride and selfishness (Revelation 21: 8) ‘.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” KJV

It is a kingdom that liberates instead of bondage, a kingdom that operates in love and not through violence ( Luke 4: 18-19) “ The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to  preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord” KJV
Jesus is the only qualified king for humanity, He was a perfect sacrifice for us without which the world will continue to wallow in darkness. (Luke 1: 78-79; Mathew 4: 16; John 3: 19; John 5: 35; John 12:35) John 8: 12 “ Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am  the LIGHT of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life”
The world we live in is groaning in pain, humanity and all creation are crying out for redemption as calamities destroy homes and death separates families, the news coming to us from the media houses on a daily basis is that of war, corruption, injustices, and poverty, people long for help and deliverance only to be dismayed, disappointed or hurt because no human being is powerful enough to save the world from its condition.
Studying the story of Job, out of the depth of his agony Job spoke in Job 23:3-5 “ Oh that I knew where I might find Him! That I might come even to His seat! I would order my cause before Him, and fill my mouth with arguments. I would know the words which He would answer me, and understand what He would say unto me” KJV
The story of Job’s losses of property health and family is a spectacular reminder of the fact that our human horizons are too narrow to provide a substantial view of life and its sorrows. Job discovered that human wisdom alone cannot offer an adequate explanation of life’s meaning except in God.
The world has come up with several religions with an attempt to answer these questions. How can I    contact reality? where can I find God? Salvation is being set free not just for now, but for all eternity. This is the core belief of Christianity.
The king is reigning in us and through us. He has dealt with sin through His suffering and crucifixion– a ghastly way to die which the Roman’s authority designed for criminals. At the moment of His death, Jesus took on Himself all the sins of the world. “ He bore our sins on His body on the tree”  righteousness( 1 Peter 2:24)
His righteousness is now already by faith, His spirit is indwelling in us, His joy and peace are ours now, The king’s victory over Satan is ours already as we meditate on His word day and night, His indwelling Spirit in us enabled us to witness to others, the gifts of the Holy Spirit is already ours to heal the sick, raise the death and for the work of the ministry.
Looking at the key passage above, man is the soil, the seed is the word of God ( the breath God breathes into man), the devil represents the serpent who planted tares ( sin) in man the soil, God allowed both plants to grow together until the coming of Jesus Christ, who through His death on the cross and resurrection restore man’s soul to Himself (James 1:21-22; Hebrews 4: 12; Proverb 4:20-21).
Those who reject the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the word of Salvation will perish (John 3:16-18) “ For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life,

He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not  is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God”

Conclusion

Jesus Christ came to redeem man from the bondage of sin and spiritual death, and Satan’s dominion and to restore to man his rightful position of having dominion on earth and showing forth or expressing God’s glory in the world.
Now that we have redemption in Christ, Satan’s dominion over us has been broken. That means Satan lost his dominion over the life of any man who chooses Jesus as his master and become a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Jesus is the full package of God’s redemptive work to man. In Him, there is health, happiness, peace, prosperity, joy, success, goodness, and wealth in this life.
( Romans 5:19) “ For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of  one shall many be made righteous”
